Guided by the University of Hafr Al Batin's vision and mission to achieve excellence and leadership in education, research, and community service, the University places strong emphasis on international rankings as a key pillar for strengthening its scholarly and research presence and showcasing its achievements at both the local and international levels. The University has devoted particular attention to enhancing academic and research performance and to meeting standards of quality and both institutional and program accreditation, thereby contributing to improving its position in regional and global rankings. The launch of the Rankings Portal is an extension of this strategic direction: it seeks to document efforts, highlight achievements, and make information transparently available to the University community, its partners, and the wider public. At the University Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, and in cooperation with the Deanship of Development and Quality, we affirm our commitment to continue working according to well-designed plans that help realize the University's aspirations and secure its rightful place among distinguished universities. About the HUB

UHB Excellence HUB · University of Hafr Al Batin

Advancing institutional excellence and sustainability through strategy, performance management, awareness, research support, and partnerships.

The UHB Excellence HUB is the University's integrated platform for documenting, coordinating, and reporting excellence and sustainability practice across colleges and administrative units. It supports institutional planning, capacity building, data-driven performance management, and public disclosure of the University's achievements against national and international frameworks.

Institutional Position

Institutional excellence and sustainable development are now defining priorities for higher education. Universities are expected to plan, measure, and report their performance against recognised national and international frameworks, and to demonstrate tangible contributions to the environmental, social, and economic dimensions of sustainability.

In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the direction is set by Saudi Vision 2030 and the national sustainability and quality agendas. Universities are asked to translate these national priorities into measurable institutional practice and to make their performance transparent to stakeholders.

The University of Hafr Al Batin established the UHB Excellence HUB to serve this purpose. The HUB enables colleges and units to design, implement, and monitor excellence and sustainability practices, and it provides the advisory services, performance frameworks, and institutional reporting needed to sustain that work over time.

The HUB operates under the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, in cooperation with the Deanship of Development and Quality.

Core Role of the HUB

1. Performance Management

The HUB maintains institution-wide KPIs, dashboards, and periodic reviews that support continuous improvement across colleges and units.

2. Academic Excellence

The HUB supports programme enhancement, institutional and programme accreditation readiness, and the assessment of learning outcomes.

3. Sustainability

The HUB advances emissions reduction, resource efficiency, and SDG-aligned initiatives as part of the University's long-term sustainability commitments.

4. Partnerships and Community

The HUB develops industry, government, and NGO collaborations that extend the University's local and national impact.

5. Governance and Quality

The HUB supports policy development, audits, and risk management aligned with national regulatory frameworks.

6. Innovation and Capacity

The HUB delivers training, toolkits, and research support that help scale best practices across the University.

Organizational Structure

Structure of the UHB Excellence HUB

Overview

The organizational structure shows how the HUB is connected to its governance and oversight ecosystem at the University of Hafr Al Batin. The framework includes the Rankings Steering Committee, the Sustainability Board, the Office of Integrity and Compliance, and the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee.

Internally, the HUB is led by the Director and supported by the Assistant Director and Sustainability Advisor. The operational structure is organized into two divisions: the Sustainability and Data Analytics Division and the Rankings and Institutional Reputation Division. A set of specialized units under these divisions delivers the HUB's advisory, reporting, and coordination functions across colleges and administrative departments.

The HUB reports to the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and works in cooperation with the Deanship of Development and Quality.

Institutional Note

The organizational structure reflects the HUB's integrated institutional model, combining sustainability governance, data-driven operations, rankings performance, institutional visibility, inclusion, and specialized support functions within one coordinated framework under the University's strategic plan and Saudi Vision 2030.
